The short version
- We respect intellectual property and respond to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
- A notice must include the details listed below to be valid.
- Repeat infringers lose access to the service.
Our policy
Boss IPTV respects the rights of copyright owners. We respond to notices of alleged infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material concerned.
How to send a notice
Your written notice must include:
- a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
- identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough information for us to locate it, such as the channel name, title or web address;
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Where to send it
Send notices by email to [email protected] with "DMCA notice" in the subject line. Notices sent through other channels may take longer to reach the right person.
What happens next
We review each complete notice promptly. If it is valid, we remove or disable access to the material and, where we can identify one, inform the customer or provider concerned. Incomplete notices may be returned with a request for the missing details.
Counter-notification
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
Unless the original sender notifies us that they have filed a court action, the material may be restored 10 to 14 business days after we receive a valid counter-notification.
Repeat infringers
In appropriate circumstances, we terminate the access of customers who are repeat infringers.
False claims
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notification may be liable for damages. If you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, consider seeking legal advice first.
